Louis Theroux has a unique style of documentary filmmaking. He investigates the individual characters behind some of the worlds most bizarre and depraved movements. In this particular episode, Louis investigates America's 'most hated family', and despite clearly holding his own views on the family, he does still attempt to reach a more pleasant side of them and tries to get to know each member as an individual, as well as getting to know more about their message. I find this a rather interesting approach, to attempt to put aside all personal beliefs and to try and get into the mind-set of the person he is interviewing. It is a particularly good method of interviewing, as his subtle mockery usually goes by unnoticed, and usually has the person he is interviewing feeling safe in the midst of the awkward geek, which leads to them discussing their particular speciality in more detail, and has them opening up. 'The Jigsaw' Short Film Review

Following the tone setting title card, the audience is brought to a busy market street, accompanying an elderly gentleman as he makes his way down to an unknown (to the audience at least) destination. The heckling salesmen make for quite the tumultuous shopping experience, and the gentleman seems to be somewhat bewildered by the uproar. The man himself seems rather well kept, and seems rather out of place amidst the seedy salesmen, who seem to have came straight from the set of Diagon alley. Though the scene does leave the audience wondering why a simple market is so absurdly hostile, it does a good job to give the audience an insight into the protagonist, as even though he startles at some of the more overzealous salesmen, it is clear that he is pushing forth through the market square with some predetermined goal in mind as a destination. By having him continue onward through the hostile environment, despite occasional frights, and maki...

One of Cineworld's Christmas adverts perfectly showcases one of Donald Gunn's methods of advertising. The advert in question chooses to symbolise the benefit; this shows the benefits of the service shown, enticing viewers into buying it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9lildcOY9A The advert is targeted at those whom frequent movie theatres, particularly Cineworld. Due to the nature of their practice, the advert has to be accessible to viewers of all ages. The advert manages to do this by using scenes from movies rated '12+' these are commonly found to be enjoyable for most audiences.
